I’m so in love with Amazon Prime’s Kindle First program, I actually have it penned into my planner to fire up my Kindle and pick out my free book (and sometimes two!), before it’s on sale to the general public!
So this month I picked…
Shadow Cove, Washington, is the kind of town everyone dreams about—quaint streets, lush forests, good neighbors. That’s what Sarah thinks as she settles into life with her new husband, Dr. Johnny McDonald. But all too soon she discovers an undercurrent of deception. And one October evening when Johnny is away, sudden tragedy destroys Sarah’s happiness.
Dazed and stricken with grief, she and Johnny begin to rebuild their shattered lives. As she picks up the pieces of her broken home, Sarah discovers a shocking secret that forces her to doubt everything she thought was true—about her neighbors, her friends, and even her marriage. With each stunning revelation, Sarah must ask herself, Can we ever really know the ones we love?
This sounds like the kind of book that will make me deliciously paranoid while completely unable to put it down! Hopefully that means I’ll have finished it and (maybe) written a Goodreads review by my next post.
Summer for me is my lazy book-reading season…I’m still reading but not quite as voraciously, and I seem to find more excuses not to write a complete Goodreads review. Bad Kate, I know, so in my next post I’ll share what I’ve read/am reading this summer!
Talk to you soon!
P.S. – Pistils is back up for sale over at B&N.com!
