I know that breathing is something we do automatically, even asleep or unconscious, but there are times when I feel like I have to remind myself or I genuinely will forget!
Britt and I have dropped off the radar for the past few weeks thanks to a perfect mixed bag of life, family, summer, vacations, and…a brand-spankin’ new full-time job for me! I love it already, even after the past week of all-day corporate training, but sadly the exhaustion of it all meant I stumbled home and stared at the computer in a semi-daze rather than actually typing on the computer!
(On a related note, I read recently that the reason why the day seems to stretch out F-O-R-E-V-E-R when you start a new job is because you’re building new mental pathways in your brain, and being out of your “comfort zone” makes you more aware of every passing minute. Interesting!)
In book-related news, the Vivian novella is tripping happily along, and I can’t put into words how much I’m enjoying exploring Vivian’s earlier years. The release date will probably be pushed back a couple of weeks into early/mid-July due to the real-life interruptions (not that I’m complaining about them!), especially since editing is one area that I refuse to rush. When people ask us why we decided to self-publish, this is one of the reasons we quickly point out!
My next blog post will be something along those lines, and I can’t wait to get it posted, I’ll be interested to hear what you think!
